« Auf Grund der guten Bewertungen gebucht. Und da wir Yelloh Village vom Camping La Brasilia kennen, hatten wir es uns ähnlich vorgestellt. Wenn man wie wir das Schwimmbad nicht besucht, gibt es eigentlich nichts, was 5 Sterne verdient hätte. Wenn man mit dem Wohnmobil anreist und somit kein Auto zur Verfügung hat, ist man aufgeschmissen, es war wirklich gar nichts los, nur ein paar unattraktive Geschäfte im Hafen. Die erwähnte Einkaufsmöglichkeit auf dem Platz waren lediglich ein paar Regale mit wenig Waren. Gepflegt und sauber war alles, es wurden täglich Hecken und Sträucher geschnitten, rasen gemäht, was man vielleicht nicht täglich in der Mittagsruhe machen sollte. Angeblich wäre der Platz voll bei Buchung, allerdings war um uns rum alles frei...., bestimmt 20 Plätze. Schöne Spazierwege, eindrucksvolle Steilküste. Wenn man dann rausgefunden hat, wo die morgendliche Animation stattfindet (Hinweise in irgendeiner Form wären sinnvoll), konnte man sich wenigstens dort betätigen. Pauline, die Kursleiterin war wirklich super, immer gut gelaunt, fachlich kompetent und hat die Kurse abwechslungsreich gestaltet. Sie hat den Platz sehr aufgewertet! »

« All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We asked reception about the local area and they were very knowledgeable and thorough. The whole site was spotless and well maintained. We arrived before check in and could use all the facilities. Great location to visit the Normandy beaches. An easy short walk along a safe path to Port-en-Bessin. (Note there is a steep hill as you enter the port). Definitely worth a visit there’s nothing not to like about it! »

« Wonderful facilities. The camping pitches were excellent. The private bathroom, washing up sink and fridge were a great treat (not at all common when camping in the UK). The swimming pool was extremely good with lots of separate areas for different uses and was lovely and warm. The restaurant was attractive and the food was excellent and reasonably priced. The play park was a great hit with our grandchildren who spent lots of fun time there. The staff were very helpful and accommodating even turning out to assist with the very difficult job of moving my son's caravan when his jockey wheel broke which entailed lifting the front of the van manually - not at all an easy task accomplished with very good grace. The whole experience was a positive one and we suggest Yelloh! extend their operations to include the UK at the earliest opportunity as the only downside was the time and expense of getting to you! We wish we could visit you more often but we are not getting any younger and our ability to come and enjoy your fabulous site is sadly limited. »

« Het eten in het restaurant was ondermaats. Onze eerste dag pizza's besteld om ter plaatse te eten, vriendelijk meisje vroeg hoe gebakken.. wij vroegen goed gebakken. Het pizzadeeg was echter amper gebakken en heel mals. De bacon erop was ook half rauw. Ik vroeg een limoncello met ijs, ik kreeg een limoncello-spritz. Onze laatste dag nog eens het restaurant geprobeerd. Deze keer was pizza van kleinzoon te goed gebakken, een halve pizza had zwarte, aangebakken randen. Mijn man en ik bestelden pasta met zalm. De pasta werd lauw, koud geserveerd met 2 kleine stukjes zalm voor het hele bord! Wij hebben deze terug gegeven, toen kregen we wat extra saus met een paar mini stukjes zalm. Wij waren zeer ontgoocheld over de kwaliteit van het eten. De meisjes en jongens die bedienden waren wel heel vriendelijk. »

« Portland est un de nos campings préférés, tout est parfait, l'accueil, l'emplacement, la piscine, le restaurant, on adore! »

« Stayed in Portland Yelloh in Normandy during the Halloween break and it was easily the best run and cleanest campsite that we have stayed in over the past 10 years. Staff were always smiling and happy to see everyone, there was nothing that was too much trouble for the staff to help with. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the bread from the shop was as good as anywhere I have had in France. The swimming pools were super clean and big enough for the size of the campsite. I would stay in Portland Yelloh campsite again. »

« Premium pitch. Private facilities were spotless. Check in was easy. Everyone we spoke to spoke in perfect English. Entertainment team (Alex and Timo) were absolutely outstanding with our young son. We were made to feel very welcome by every member of the staff. Food in the restaurant is nice enough if a little pricey. Saying that, it's a nice place to sit overlooking the pool. Petanque was a highlight of our trip. Several hours spent on a nice afternoon. Close to Port en Bessin, though the hill is intense!! »
